PLAYER PROFILE SUBMISSION Player profiles are a useful tool and I'd like to have one for every player. However my current software has some technical limitations so PLEASE read the guidelines below before submitting. If you haven't created one before you can view some examples in our Archive section. (2005 Roster links - 2006 Roster links - try not to use the internal "UP" navigation buttons in the archive) I recommend keeping it to ONE printable page - short and to the point. Scouts know what they are looking for and they want to find it in a hurry. As for that point, lead with your strengths - If you're 5'5" and you list that first you could get tossed aside before they see that you hit .500 or have a 4.+ GPA. Make them want to keep reading. Now for the technical problems - I've received profiles in formats that I can't open and others that when copied into my program all the formatting goes right out the window- even simple tabbed alignment. So, if you want to go all out and format your own profile with bells & whistles, please make sure you can save it as an HTML file and send it with all the embedded files intact. Otherwise, keep it simple - every line left justified - and save as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) or simple text (.txt) file. Photos should be in JPEG form and sent separately - I will add them to the document before publishing. I promise to do my best to make them look good. If you're determined to have perfectly aligned segments you can type them into an Excel spread sheet (sounds crazy, I know) but it copies very well into the publishing program as a table that won't lose it's alignment. Just keep in mind that I only have Office 2000 so if you're using a more current version you'll need to save it as a 2000 file.
